Signs You Need Sewer Line Work
Multiple fixtures backing up, gurgling in drains, foul odors, or sewage in the basement point to a main sewer or mainline problem. In the Portland area, older clay or cast-iron lines are prone to root intrusion, breaks, and collapse. We run a camera inspection first to see the condition of the line, then recommend clearing (hydro-jetting) or repair (spot repair, lining, or full replacement).
How We Approach Sewer Repairs
- Video inspection. We send a camera down the line and show you the footage. You’ll see blockages, roots, cracks, or offset joints.
- Hydro-jetting. High-pressure water clears grease, roots, and debris. Good for recurring clogs when the pipe is still sound.
- Trenchless options. Where the line needs repair but we can avoid a full trench, we use pipe lining or burst methods. We’ll explain when trenchless makes sense.
